Talk About Alcohol Workbook for England and Wales

The 100 page Talk About Alcohol Workbook of lesson plans, guidance, activities and games is suitable for 11-18 year olds. It includes 6 lesson plans for delivery in yrs 8 and 9 mapped to the government statutory requirements for health education. The workbook links to online resources, including powerpoints and includes a USB of all resources.

Talk About Alcohol (TAA), evaluated by NFER among 4,000 children in 30 schools over 3 years, effectively raises the age that teenagers begin drinking, and improves knowledge and engagement. There are over 30 different options to select from according to the age, ability and experience of young people, under topics such as alcohol and the law, alcohol and its effects (social and physical), consent, drink spiking and staying safe.

TAA was awarded 3/3 for effectiveness by Mentor Adepis CAYT and is recognised by The Early intervention Foundation and The European Platform for Investing in Children.
